Principal responsibilities

Work on the change request from scratch – Requirement Gathering, Analysis, Design, Code Development, Unit testing. Ensure the resolution within defined SLA’s and adhere to client or project specific quality and documentation standards as part of project execution.Communicate and collaborate with a co-located and distributed team of developers, QA engineers, and tech leads to resolve issues and provide status updates.Strong adherence to the AGILE method and standards and applying them to all deliverables. Control of issues, risks, assumptions, and timelines. Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing).Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.Understand overall functional and non-functional requirements, IT and business priorities and success measures to adopt appropriate solutions design. Ensure all relevant architecture governance, policy and standards are met. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators.Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy. Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control. Evaluate, recommend, and implement software development methods/tools.
