Some careers have more impact than others.If you’re looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join HSBC and discover how valued you’ll be.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.Principal responsibilities:We are looking for a senior team leaderHave a overall view of the technical skill in the scrum team and coaching the team to higher levels of maturityProvide assistance in technical leadership for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of HSBC IT systems to supported business units;Prepare detailed specifications that describe input, output and logical operation; and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language;Work with business analysts and architects to define and plan the introduction of new systems or changes to existing systems, identifying costs and requirements and ensuring plans are in place to exploit them;Apply specialist expertise in the development of IT systems with the objective of optimising operational performance and improving quality whilst increasing cost-effectiveness;Oversee the work of less experienced staff, contributing to the delivery of projects on time and in budget with appropriate quality;Manage the rectification of production system issues with the minimum disruption to the business;Occasionally represent the department or function at a broader level;Develop an expert-level understanding of major local systems and their associated IT development requirements;Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars), internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behavior.
