Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Consultant - Technology - Equipment Engineering with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas sector for Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India

The Role

Provide specialist support on the functional areas (refer below) in Projects, Proposals. Hands on working experience with engineering consultancies and EPC companies on Equipment’s in Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical / Oil & Gas etc. and offshore facilities for FEED and Detailed design and engineering. Possesses adequate knowledge on selection / application of codes like API, ASME etc. and Client specifications. Possesses the ability to provide clear technical direction and decision making.  Prepare, check and approve documents.  Perform technical studies & resolves technical issues in projects.  Aware of latest technologies and cultivating relationships with technology providers. Keeps up to date with latest developments industry practices, standards and product development and disseminate to group. Organises and conducts technical presentations to the group. Provide guidance to Specialist teams as required. Technical interface with Clients, other Departments, suppliers/vendors and consultants. Support to disciplines on material selection, welding & NDE, PMI, coating and insulation, and noise. Review and approve Weld Map, WPS/PQR, and related vendor documents. Review and approve vendor documents related to NDE procedures, PMI procedures, Painting Procedures, Hydro Test Procedures, PWHT Procedures, Pneumatic testing procedures, Pickling and Passivation.
