Our global client management team, known as the Global Client Group (GCG), is a group of highly skilled client management professionals responsible for managing American Express’ relationships with over 180 of our most prestigious Global Commercial Services clients.
We are looking for an exceptional Consulting Analyst to join our team in Japan.

Roles and responsibilities:
The role of Consulting Analyst in GCG is to support the client management team, who lead and develop the global commercial card portfolio of some of our largest global and strategically important commercial clients, with a presence in Japan and the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The individual will be responsible for analytics, insights, and recommending client solutions to our Global Client Group, Multinational (MNC), and Large Market (LM) clients to drive program expansions, retentions, accelerate new acquisitions, and provide differentiated value by delivering Consulting engagements. Support Client Managers and Acquisition colleagues from GCG, MNC, Global Business Development (GBD), and LM to drive program expansions, retentions, accelerate new acquisitions, and provide differentiated value by delivering Consulting engagements Prepare and deliver high quality client presentations, internal executive updates, consulting case studies, and field enablement materials Play a significant role in sharing and developing Thought Leadership and investigating emerging trends in the financial services and travel industryMinimum qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to generate insights, evaluate alternatives, and recommend client solutions Ability to identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions for the customer to drive growth and retention The ability to understand business goals, American Express systems, GCS platforms, and cross functional processes across the globe Ability to understand American Express’ Commercial Card products and solutions Drive the research, creation, and implementation of new tools and solutions to support client needs Passion for innovative solutions and process improvement with demonstrated experience Strong project management and analytical skills with the ability to support projects on a global scale across the GCS team Ability to analyse and manipulate large volumes of data and draw out actionable insights Comfortable with managing a high-volume workload and multiple projects in parallel Ability to build strong relationships across the Blue Box to highlight the value of Consulting Strong collaborator, but can work independently and proactively Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and the ability to deliver MI reporting to support the GCG/LM/GBD Directors as requested Must have least business level fluency in both Japanese/English (written and oral)We back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
