At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position. **Job Summary** **Dominion Energy at the Innsbrook Technical Center in Glen Allen, VA is currently seeking a Consulting Engineer in PRA.** Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) is part of the Nuclear Safety Engineering (NSE) organization in the Nuclear Engineering and Fuel (NEF) department. PRA has responsibility for developing, maintaining, and applying probabilistic risk models to support Dominion Energy’s nuclear plants in Virginia, Connecticut, and South Carolina. The PRA models are designed to evaluate plant response in the event of an accident at a nuclear power station. They account for the design of plant systems and the responses of plant operators to potential accidents to evaluate the importance of systems and components to plant risk. Risk insights are used to improve safety and efficiency of plant operations and maintenance. **Job Responsibilities:** PRA Modeling - Use industry software to maintain PRA model files in accordance with the ASME/ANS PRA Standard; PRA Applications - Perform analysis using the PRA models to support regulatory and elective risk-informed programs and applications (Maintenance Rule, NFPA 805, Significance Determination Process, Mitigating Systems Performance Index, etc.); Fire PRA Development - Development and refinement of Fire PRA model; PRA Documentation - Document model changes, supporting analyses, and PRA applications to efficiently and effectively establish model bases; PRA Project Management - Lead and manage PRA projects that involve multiple engineers and interface with multiple departments; PRA Software Testing - Perform testing and validation of new code versions and new software packages; Organizational Interface - Interface with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, IT, and other departments **Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience** 7-8+ years of relevant engineering experience; including 5+ years of direct experience in PRA. An Engineering PhD can be substituted for up to 5 years' experience based on research engineering work on directly related projects approved by executive leadership. -Prior experience in Fire PRA, NFPA 805, Seismic PRA, 10 CFR 50.69, and/or Risk-Informed Technical Specifications are a plus.
