Consulting/Principal Site Reliability Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources. Provide design input across a product. Work directly with customers and end users. Serve as acknowledged "go to" person on coding and technical issues. Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements. Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity. Complete complex bug fixes. Design and work with complex data models. Mentor lead software developers interested in consultancy on development methodologies and optimization techniques. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required.5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.Also required is: 5 years of experience: supporting, developing, and deploying cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure or other cloud platforms; with monitoring technologies: application insights, graphana, alert dashboards, others monitoring stacks to monitor performance and alert on failures/issues; and in DevOps techniques such as Java, Shell scripting, SQL/MySQL, spring boot, Python, Go or other programming languages; with Kubernetes management platform to deploy Infrastructure as a service, tuning it to support horizontal scaling, and the ability to troubleshoot peering, vnets, sub-nets and firewalls to keep infrastructure secure and resilient; and with Cloud support technologies: Terraform, Docker, Helm, CI/CD pipelines, ArgoCD, Vault, Image caching.Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Data Management, LLC office in Alpharetta, GA, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.Experience can be concurrent.
