About the Role
As Consulting/Principle Engineer, you will provide assistance and input to management, develop and leads large multifunctional development activities, solve complex technical problems, write complex code for computer systems, and serves as a senior source of expertise. You will provide sizing or budget recommendations to management, in addition to mentoring and acting as a subject matter expert.
****Position is HYBRID in Raleigh, NC office-2-3 days a week

Requirements
+ Software development process expert in applicable methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
+ Expertise in data modeling, design and manipulation, optimization, best practices, tuning, and leading industry trend knowledge.
+ Expertise in normalized/dimensional data modeling principles and their application to complex business needs.
+ Expertise in industry technology language development trends.
+ Expertise in test-driven development and maintenance including techniques for applying best practices for overall project benefit.
+ Expert knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
+ Strong budgeting/finance skills.
+ Knowledge of architectural principles.
+ Ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
+ Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.
+ Ability to design and work with complex data models.
+ Expertise in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net C#
+ Strong experience in cloud platforms, particularly AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.).
Responsibilities
+ Lead the modernization of the Digital Media Fulfillment system , transitioning legacy JAVA systems to .NET Core microservices and cloud-based solutions.
+ Architect and implement scalable backend solutions using C#, .NET Core, and RESTful services.
+ Design and optimize complex SQL/NoSQL databases to meet performance requirements and handle large volumes of media data.
+ Drive frontend development using React or Angular to ensure responsive, user-friendly interfaces for media consumption and management.
+ Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components, delivering an optimal user experience.
+ Deploy, monitor, and manage media applications on AWS , utilizing services like EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, and API Gateway to enable efficient cloud operation.
+ Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to industry standards and security best practices.
+ Act as a technical leader in project planning sessions, code reviews, and agile sprint meetings.
+ Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement.
+ Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and incorporate new tools to drive innovation and efficiency in the modernization process.
+ Ensure adherence to all security guidelines and compliance requirements throughout the software development lifecycle, especially concerning media data protection.
