Juniper Networks has an immediate opening for a team-oriented, highly effective, and self-motivated individual for a Sales Engineer in our Service Provider segment supporting a tier 1 Service Provider. Sales Engineers (SE’s) are a critical component of the Juniper GTM Team and are primarily responsible for partnering with the sales organization on driving technical sales activities for both new and existing opportunities. Sales Engineers possess in-depth, hands-on expertise with Juniper’s networking technologies, products, solutions, and services as well as those of our competitors and can demonstrate that to our customers and business partners.

The specific role is for a Consulting Sales Engineer supporting a tier 1 Service Provider on cross-functionalAmerica’s SP Sales Engineering team which requires multi-domain exposure and knowledge and will be a cross functional role working closely with the Juniper sales team, the SP technical teams, and Juniper’s product and engineering teams to work on solving business and technical problems.

Location: PA/NY Area

· Experience working in a pre-sales technical role around designing and scoping networking solutions.

· Ability to communicate, both oral and written, on sophisticated technical and sales issues to a variety of audiences, including executive-level technical decision-makers

· Ability to make and communicate relevant connections between proposed technical solutions and customers' business requirements.

· 12+ years relevant experience in different networking domains.

· Routing expertise in access, metro and core back-bone design, including hands-on experience in BGP, IGP, and MPLS technologies.

· Strong knowledge in mobile wireless architecture, virtualization technologies, and Data Center networking.

· General knowledge in large-scale MPLS-enabledof  services such as Multicast-VPN, L3VPN, L2VPN, EVPN.

· General knowledge emerging protocols and technologies shaping up in standard bodies

· General knowledge of network automation including solutions for workflow automation, service provisioning, telemetry and close-loop automation solutions

· General knowledge in designing high-performance security solutions for network infrastructure, cloud and mobility.

Understanding of product features, use cases, positioning, and configuration in many of the following products or equivalent product categories:

· Juniper MX Series routers, PTX Series routers, Cisco/Nokia equivalent routers

· Juniper SRX series products / industry equivalent products

· Juniper QFX switches, Cisco Nexus switches, or Arista switches

· Network Monitoring familiarity with industry standards such as Netconf, REST APIs, YANG, etc.

· Knowledge of merchant silicon technologies (Trident, Tomahawk, Jericho, etc.)

· Professional-level industry certification is desired

Minimum Salary: $217,600.00

Maximum Salary:$312,800.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $217,600.00 and $312,800.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
