Within the Consumer Finance Segment, the product set includes Auto, Home Equity, Mortgage, and other Direct. The primary focus of the Quantitative Analyst role will be to conduct analytics and deliver reporting related to business strategy, credit, fraud, and operational risk.
The selected individual will develop and execute collaborative efforts to ensure business and credit initiatives are delivered successfully through critical analytics, close collaboration with key business stakeholders, and a high level of responsiveness to market changes. Working with cross functional teams to understand and connect market dynamics and price optimization strategies will be necessary in this role. The selected individual will develop reporting to effectively monitor the health of the portfolio and specific strategies.
As the 1st line of defense, this position will be responsible for supporting and monitoring the health of the business by converting analytic insights into recommendations in concert with our risk appetite framework. This includes developing credit, fraud, and business risk-based strategies in close partnership with 2nd and 3rd line of defense partners. Additionally, support Underwriting with an eye towards loss mitigation resulting from inadequate or failed processes, systems, human factors, or external events.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and monitoring risk-based customer acquisition strategies to support credit policy, underwriting procedures, and market analysis ensuring they align with the risk appetite frameworkDelivering risk-based analysis and reporting related to underwriting strategies and operational processDeveloping business strategies with a bias for sound credit performanceMonitoring new originations identifying areas of potential adverse selection and recommend remediation efforts to senior leadershipDeveloping and monitoring fraud mitigation strategies including close collaboration with other Huntington product lines and the Corporate fraud teamExecute reports and analytics interpret results, and present recommendations to Credit and Business leadershipBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degreeA minimum of 3 years of analytical experience in a corporate environment is requiredPreferred Qualifications:
