Consumer Insights Associate

The Consumer Insights Associate (Market Research) coordinates large market research initiatives and helps the team analyze and report AAA member and industry information to the organization. This position focuses on project coordination and assisting with conducting market research studies and analyses regarding member experiences, needs, attitudes, and behaviors to provide insights to leadership. This individual will be responsible for large initiative/project coordination and timeline management, as well as learning to analyze data, communicate findings, and identify trends.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Keep large initiatives and projects on track through timeline and task management and cross-team coordination

Assist the team with primary research studies (both through external market research suppliers/vendors and internally as appropriate) and learn to perform quantitative and verbatim (text) analyses. May include research regarding consumer expectations and preferences, product awareness and usage, new product development, brand perceptions, communication and advertisements, and member experience.

Will learn to identify and implement appropriate research study design and support the management of studies from start to finish – including project timelines, survey development, data processing and analysis, and presentation of findings. Ensure data integrity and appropriate use of research.

Help the team communicate and present research findings, identify trends, and make recommendations. Work with business teams to identify business implications based on research findings and develop and implement initiatives.

 

Experience & Skills Needed:

Bachelor’s degree in related field (social sciences, business/economics, mathematics, statistics preferred)

1-3 years market research experience from a market research supplier/vendor preferred

Strong project management skills and experience

Strategic problem solver with analytical and data interpretation skills

Able to make decisions independently and involve management as appropriate

Can effectively communicate with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally

Can effectively work simultaneously on many projects and adapt quickly to unexpected changes

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong time management skills

Experienced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

The starting pay range for this position is:

$66,560.00 - $88,200.00

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
