The Consumer Relations Specialist completes tasks under the direction of their direct supervisor and the State Program Director. The Consumer Relations Specialist monitors each program recipient’s ability to manage his or her program. Through daily interaction with consumers and personal assistants, the Consumer Relations Specialist builds relationships to support a positive consumer and personal assistant experience, as well as foster additional business and consumer referral opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains the confidentiality of program participantsConducts monitoring, supervision, and/or interventions of the Consumer as directedCompletes the consumer admission/intakes as directed by the management teamDocuments relevant information in the consumer recordMaintains the consumer recordAssists the Field Support Team with contacting CDPAP Personal Assistants regarding annual worker requirementsAssists the office operations team with time reporting issues and concernsPerforms all procedures in an accurate and timely manner as directed by the management teamNotifies the CDPAP Business Development Manager or Office Operations Leader of any concerns relating to each consumer. (Allegations, of Fraud, Misuse of services, and other relevant issues)Adheres to the standards, regulations, and procedures of the company, Medicaid, the New York State Department of Health and the Federal governmentProvides policy reeducation to consumers and personal assistants, as necessaryRepresents the company with a positive image at all timesDemonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of participantsAttends all required trainings and in-service programsProvides the highest level of customer service to program participants, vendors, and individual entitiesConsistently models the company’s philosophy of customer service and complianceMeets established company key performance indicators and improve gross profitPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of ageComputer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) requiredAbility to accept direction and supervisionFrequent daily travel throughout the specific geographic area; overnight travel may be required (10% of the time)Excellent communication skillsProficiency in the English language required
