Consumer Retail Technology Subject Matter Expert
**Location:** **Seattle, WA** We are seeking an experienced Consumer Retail Technologies Subject Matter Expert to join our dynamic team. This role requires a seasoned professional with at least 4 years of experience in managing and supporting retail technology environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, network security, and application support, with expertise in various tools and technologies used in the retail sector. **Key responsibilities:** · Serve as a subject matter expert in consumer retail technologies, providing guidance and support to internal teams and clients. · Manage and deploy patches and updates to Windows systems across the organization, ensuring system security and performance. · Monitor and assess the impact of patches on system performance, resolving any issues arising from deployments. · Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards in all technology implementations. · Collaborate with IT teams to schedule and coordinate patch deployments and other system updates. · Troubleshoot and resolve application issues raised via the ServiceDesk System in a logical and efficient manner. · Develop and implement automation scripts to address recurring issues, using PowerShell, Python, or Gantry. · Maintain and update patch management documentation and provide regular reports on patch management activities and system compliance. · Conduct regular audits of patch levels and system statuses to ensure optimal performance and security. · Provide application and production support, maintaining SLAs and standard practices to achieve quality deliverables. · Participate in and support P1/P2 strike calls as needed, demonstrating flexibility in work timings. **Required Skills:** · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. · Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT support, with a focus on retail technologies. · Proficiency in SCCM, Network Security, Windows, PowerShell, Distribution Points, Tanium, and Marimba. · Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA, and Zendesk. · Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, network switches, domain controllers, DHCP, and user access control. · Expertise in writing automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Gantry. · Experience in application and production support, preferably in a multi-vendor and multi-tenant platform environment. · Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly. · Flexibility to work during US hours and in 24x7 shifts as required. **Life at Capgemini** Capgemini supports all aspects of your well-being throughout the changing stages of your life and career.
