Head of Consumer Risk Management responsible for all first line risk activities of one of the largest and iconic banking institutions in Mexico. Primary objective is to continue to enhance the franchise by building, managing and enhancing state of the art risk techniques and strategies. Position will report to the head of the consumer banking and have end to end ownership of all risk forecasting/regulatory requirements, portfolio management, acquisitions, exposure controls/collection strategies and risk execution.

Responsibilities:

Manage multiple teams of senior professionals and lead teams responsible for new account strategy development, account management strategy development, non-scoring models, compliance with partner contract SLAs and management, Operating Committee engagement, internal and external oversight reviews and meeting and exceeding Partner/Citi Profit & Loss (P&L) and performance expectationsEnsure a consistent control environment across portfolios and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to manage operational risk, ensuring oversight of key contractual deliverablesIdentify opportunities to improve business performance, effectiveness and efficiency through process improvements and talent managementNegotiate internally and externally to have major impact on the area managed and possibly on other related areas and organization as a wholeSupport portfolio performance monitoring and diagnosticsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

15+ years of relevant experienceExperience in people managementIn-depth knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/servicesIn-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and the current environment which govern our policies and practicesComprehensive understanding of strategic direction of the function including related systems, theories and practicesComprehensive conceptual/practical grounding in the function and/or expertise in related subject areasConsistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication to influence and negotiate with a wide range of audiences
