The Position

The position

Containers as a Service team integrates all the underlying infrastructure layers needed to host an application developed on container-based architecture:  orchestration, service mesh, persistence, security, monitoring and logging, as well as high-level features to solve the challenges to host business-critical applications: auto-scaling, high availability, distributed storage and data recovery

We are looking for a highly motivated individual for the position of Solution Architect to join the Containers as a Service team. Your responsibilities include:

Designing infrastructure technology solutions according to enterprise standards and aligned with business priorities

Architecture review of currently existing infrastructure technology solutions to ensure continuous improvement and technical debt management

Research, evaluation, proof of concepts and adoption of new infrastructure technologies

Designing non-functional requirements and implementation review to identify gaps between design and code

Developing and communicating architectural strategy and roadmaps

Seeking opportunities to create additional value and improve business processes

Partner with Product Managers to establish high-level solution intent to showcase product value for stakeholders​

We need a passionate person who has:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or similar experience

7-10 years of relevant experience (software development, integration, architecture design)

Hands-on experience in the following areas/technologies:

Deep understanding of infrastructure, containerization and Kubernetes architectures

Experience designing and implementing end to end production-grade Kubernetes platforms: including orchestration, service mesh, auto scaling, self healing, persistent storage, security, monitoring and logging.

Experience designing and implementing containers infrastructure in the Public Cloud (AWS preferred): including security, Identity and Access Management, Storage, Backup and DR strategies

Experience securing containers and Kubernetes environments including RBAC, encryption, network policies, secrets management, admission control policies and other security best practices 

Deep Knowledge of managed and unmanaged Kubernetes (AWS EKS, RKE2), Serverless, ECS, cluster-management tools such as Rancher and Kubernetes Data service Platform such as Portworx

Strong understanding of microservices architecture, networking, and service mesh technologies (Istio, Cilium)

Experience in provisioning Kubernetes and containers solutions using Infrastructure as Code techniques such as Terraform(other tools are a plus).

Hands-on experience in automated deployments using Shell/Ansible/Python Scripting with focus on DevOps and CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD, GitLab/GitHub

Experience in agile ways of working (e.g. SAFe)

Experience operating in highly regulated environments

Experience with modern architecture practices, including the effective use of non functional requirements and architecture decision records

Strong collaboration and influencing skills with a proven ability to lead and inspire

Experience in working in a multicultural and international environment

Advanced English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills
