Primary objective of the job:
The Content Accountant will be a member of the Digicel+ Group Finance Team and will be required to work closely with Commercial, Legal and Product Development to provide analytical support, Content Cost impact and scenarios analysis.The new member will be successful in this role if s/he can perform under pressure, is outspoken, and is highly independent. The candidate will be a good fit for the team if s/he can combine superior analytical skills to comfortably deal with ambiguity. This new member will be involved in supporting various projects through routine data collection, reporting, progress and milestones tracking as well as ad-hoc analysis.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting the Finance Content Centre of Excellence:
Review/Verify Channel Line-up by Market Prepare and send Content Accruals advisory to markets Participate in Invoice Reconciliation Activities Update SharePoint Site with latest versions of Channel Line-up and Subscriber Reports Perform Content Costing Analysis Work with commercial team as necessary for Content Pricing Analysis Report Subscriber monthly usage to Content Vendors Maintain Subscriber Reports for FP&A Reporting Provide timely updates on Content Charges updates to Markets Prepare and maintain fit-for-purpose reporting and costing models
Support the Content Accounting function:
Manage version control at each month’s close clearly documenting variance drivers Ensure all reports leaving the COE is peer reviewed Assist with Digital Content Recharge and accruals for markets Content costing (accrual) for all H&E markets – based on monthly subscriber reports Support month-end Accounting Close process for the Content Businesses and H&E Other duties as assigned
Academic qualifications and experience required:
Pursing ACCA and/or Bachelor of Science Degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance 3+ years experience in similar role Skilled in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Experience in performing financial modeling Experience in and with the Digital Operator sector would be considered a valuable asset An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements
