Content Accounting, and will provide support on various areas of content accounting and some of the most exciting aspects of our business including label royalties, audiobooks, and other content areas.
Travel can be required occasionally in the roleWhat You'll DoExecution of monthly global content accounting close, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time for reportingPreparation and/or review of monthly account reconciliations, roll forwards and flux analysisHelp lead the implementation of standard processes in the content team to scale our business to support the global expansion plansDevelop and/or refine content accounting processes and proceduresSupport external, 3rd party and internal audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibilityWork cross functionally with Technical Accounting, Finance, Legal, Content, Licensing, IA, FP&A, Billing, AR, IT, Tax and various business owners on policies, processes and programs, and help drive key system initiatives and improvementsOther responsibilities include but are not limited to participating in special projects, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses as assignedWho You AreBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance requiredCPA or CA preferredMinimum of 2 years relevant professional experience preferredBig 4 experience preferredExcellent time and self-management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlinesStrong excel and/or google sheets skills, and become comfortable with extremely large dataComfortable working in a fast paced and constantly evolving environmentPrevious experience of IFRS and/or SOX is an advantageExperience in the entertainment and media space is an advantageExperience with major ERP systems (Oracle, SAP or Netsuite) is an advantageWhere You'll BeThis role is based in NYC. We operate within the Eastern time zone for collaborationWe ask that you come into the office 2-3 days per weekThe United States base range for this position is $73,761.00- 92,201.00 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. This range encompasses multiple levels. Leveling is determined during the interview process. Placement in a level depends on relevant work history and interview performance.
