The Role
Ion Analytics (IONA) is looking for an India-based Content Editor with around 5 years of work experience in journalism and a fundamental understanding of financial markets. The position will be based out of Mumbai and will involve editing M&A-related and regulatory news content for the flagship Mergermarket and Debtwire NextGen platforms among others.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and edit key time sensitive market intelligence and prioritize publication.Ensure the accuracy of information gathered by reporters, ensuring all published content adheres to IONA’s’ coverage criteria and is relevant to our readers. The role involves extensive on-the-job learning and candidates must be self-motivated.Open to working in flexible shifts.Work independently and in collaboration with a wide team of reporters and analysts across regions.Required Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceExcellent English speaking and writing skills.A passion for journalism and editing.Experience in reporting and editing for financial news services, newspapers or online publications.A postgraduate degree or diploma in journalism would be preferred.Research editors/copy editors at business intelligence-focused organizations, news publications/magazines, credit agencies or city editors who have experience in covering market intelligence can also apply.The candidate will need to work across different time zones as and when necessary.About us
