Job Description: CONTENT MANAGER – Historical Prices

FactSet is a leader in providing research and analytical tools to finance professionals. FactSet offers instant access to accurate financial data and analytics around the world. FactSet clients combine hundreds of databases from industry-leading suppliers into a single powerful information system, in addition to curating standardized, granular and best-in-class proprietary financial datasets. 

The Content Manager will support operational, quality and production aspects of FactSet Global Pricing including “Fast File” production management. Follow up production delays and quality issues including tracking metrics and liaising with other teams to ensure appropriate investigations are carried out. Active involvement in projects to improve data quality, production processes and procedures.

While data is primarily focused on exchange pricing there is overlap with related datasets such as Corporate Actions (e.g. Splits, Spinoffs, and Dividends), exchange holidays and non-standard trading days. The role involves liaising with engineering teams both as part of production support and investigation and when undertaking project work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage a project:

New Content development – Spec’ing new third party and FDS proprietary content, directing engineering, and integrating content into the workstation

Manage end to end development

Manages all aspects of the project  planning, research, and resource allocation

Adding new content on the Workstation and Feeds

Ensuring Data Products continue to be available 24/7

Team/People Management:

Resource planning and capacity planning. 

Performance evaluation, Training and Career planning

Direct Engineering regarding Project Deliverables

Create a productive Team working on projects aligned with the corporate goals

Departmental Goals setting

Helps Senior Content Managers, Associate Directors and the Director with the annual and quarterly Operational plans

Setting Departmental Goals and Objectives.

Includes anything from streamlining development goals across content, to creating tools to aid in benchmark development

Content Expert:

Updating content twikis, troubleshooting documentation, and writing procedural specs for operations

 Make the content available close to 24/7

Stakeholder Management:

Keeps all parties informed of progress using the tools provided- Twiki, Milestone notes, RPD, CQ, email and other appropriate meeting settings.

Project update and collaboration.

Reduced operational burden on developers and clear documentation so content can be easily owned by multiple developers

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Project Management skills To manage multiple projects

Financial knowledge and business acumen ( FactSet product knowledge) To understand the business and working tools

Technical Knowledge and writing skills To work with the Engineers and translate operational requests into technical specifications

People Management Manage the team and their performance and manage the stakeholders

Analytical skills To evaluate the product/project requirements and troubleshoot system errors

Innovative and Self-driven skills To work independently
