Content Manager - Deep Sector Healthcare

Role/Department Description:

Deep Sector is an initiative where FactSet will be collecting new content, improving existing collection efforts in fundamentals, as well as developing new reports and functionality across 9 sectors: Banks, Insurance, Real Estate, Power & Utilities, TMT, Metals & Mining, Oil & Gas, Specialty Finance and Healthcare. Deep Sector data is granular, industry-specific information beyond what can be found in a 10-K, covering public and private companies, assets, transactions, news, and more.

The Deep Sector Healthcare team aims to provide more comprehensive and in-depth healthcare-related data and insights. The team is initially focused on migrating FactSet’s existing StreetAccount Drug Database into Deep Sector collection processes and endpoints, leveraging our existing wealth of information while enhancing its value with additional data sources, news updates, and improved collection methods.

The StreetAccount Drug Database is FactSet’s robust catalogue of pharmaceutical assets, covering marketed products as well as development candidates. The team is seeking a Content Manager to assist in maintaining the continuity and accuracy of this database during the Deep Sector transition. The role will evolve as the content collection process is revamped, presenting an opportunity to contribute to the future of the Deep Sector Healthcare division while developing an understanding of the sector. In addition, the role can play an integral role in the future expansion of the Deep Sector Healthcare team by acting as a potential manager and/or trainer, as well as providing same-time-zone support.

Responsibilities  

Track industry news, research, and data to stay informed on the latest developments in drug research and commercialization. Manually update our pharmaceutical database with new drugs, clinical trial data, regulatory information, and any other relevant information gathered from trusted sources. Monitor various news publications and industry websites to identify and collect data on drug companies, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and regulatory updates. Verify and validate the accuracy and integrity of the collected data to ensure high standards of data quality. Collaborate with team members to resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies and ensure the database is always up to date and accurate. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the pharmaceutical database by providing feedback and suggestions for enhancing data collection processes. Develop documentation appropriate to allow for training of additional team members and continuity of the database

Required Skills  

Familiarity with existing SA Drugs product preferred but not requiredBachelor's degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred). Willingness to work in an entrepreneurial environment where multi-tasking and independent decision-making is regularly requiredStrong attention to detail and ability to meticulously analyze and interpret data from various sources. Excellent research and information-gathering skills, with the ability to navigate through company press releases, filings, presentations, and other publications. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external data providers. Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry and an understanding of drug research, development, and commercialization processes is a plus. Ability to spec out and establish requirements for new third party and FDS proprietary content
