As a Content Manager - Retention at Yoast, your role involves the integration of strategy and operations. Your primary focus is to retain customers and enhance customer loyalty. This requires the formulation and execution of a comprehensive retention strategy. Furthermore, your extensive expertise in marketing will contribute significantly to overarching marketing strategy meetings, ensuring that the created content is aligned with the organization's business objectives. 

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark. 

Are you a seasoned professional who excels in both copywriting and customer focus? We’re in search of someone with proven experience in content marketing and a keen eye for customer insights and trends. Your expertise in marketing and ability to pioneer retention strategies will be crucial in shaping the retention landscape for Yoast’s products. 

Leverage customer data (surveys, churn analysis) to pinpoint at-risk customers and understand the root causes of churn. 

Design and implement targeted retention campaigns (e.g., win-back offers, loyalty programs, personalized email sequences) to improve customer satisfaction and increase the retention rate.  

Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to improve customer experience across the entire lifecycle, from onboarding to post-purchase engagement. 

Work closely with content and UX teams to ensure customer touchpoints (emails, in-app messaging, help docs) are clear. 

Facilitate ongoing feedback through surveys and NPS programs, bringing insights for product improvements and case studies. 

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for retention programs 

Consult on industry trends and best practices in customer retention and loyalty. 

Identify opportunities to streamline customer onboarding processes. 

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed. 

You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing 

You have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications (or equivalent). 

You have excellent online & offline communication skills. 

Excellent English writing skills (no less than level C1 CEFR). 

Proven experience in copywriting 

Ability to develop and execute content strategies for retention purposes. 

Familiarity with WordPress is a plus
