Content Marketer

The Content Marketer is responsible for researching and writing healthcare industry thought leadership -- including, but not limited to, short-form blogs and long-form magazine articles -- that targets and engages a knowledgeable, professional audience for the purpose of sparking business-building conversations. In addition, the Content Marketer will populate, produce and distribute an internal, bi-weekly industry update for the healthcare sales team and business division leaders that informs and enables both prospect outreach and client relationship expansion. This position reports to the Manager, Content Marketing and collaborates with other members of the Content Marketing team to produce impactful thought leadership as well as effective marketing and promotional content.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring the individual to reside within a 35-mile radius of Winston-Salem and be present in the office Tuesday through Thursday.

Primary Accountabilities:

Research and write healthcare industry thought leadership, including but not limited to short-form blogs and long-form magazine articles, targeting and engaging a knowledgeable, professional audience to spark business-building conversations.

Populate, produce, and distribute an internal, bi-weekly industry update for the healthcare sales team and business division leaders, providing information that enables both prospect outreach and client relationship expansion.

Collaborate with other members of the Content Marketing team to produce impactful thought leadership as well as effective marketing and promotional content.

Conduct comprehensive research on healthcare topics to ensure accuracy and depth in content creation.

Develop diverse marketing and promotional content that engages targeted B2B audiences.

Collaborate with team members, subject matter experts, and Inmar healthcare thought leaders to produce high-quality, relevant content.

Liaise with content marketers to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communications.

Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style, and layout.

Optimize content according to SEO best practices.

Publish, edit, and proofread content on Inmar.com to maintain quality and accuracy.

Stay up to date with healthcare industry insights and generate new ideas to capture audience attention.

Brainstorm with team members to create fresh ideas for content.

Writing and Brainstorming (60%)

Research and compile content for the bi-weekly healthcare newsletter distributed to Inmar healthcare leaders and sellers, gathering competitor updates, relevant news, and contributed content.

Collaborate with the content marketing team to produce various materials, such as contributed content, LinkedIn posts, blogs, white papers, and press releases.

Transform marketing objectives into clear, concise communications across various channels.

Stay updated on cutting-edge marketing strategies, including email campaigns, landing pages, lead generation tactics, and content marketing trends.

Participate in brainstorming sessions with the content marketing team to create new ideas for engaging content.

Craft outstanding and polished copy for diverse communication channels, maintaining high standards in all written materials.

Strategy (30%)

Assist the designated healthcare business unit and collaborate with Product Marketing Managers to establish a unique positioning for the business unit, products, and messaging within the healthcare sector.

Ensure content reflects the appropriate Inmar Healthcare narrative and aligns with overall marketing objectives.

Develop cohesive messaging that supports the Inmar Healthcare narrative, ensuring uniform messaging across all healthcare communication channels.

Cultivate an in-depth understanding of target healthcare audiences, products, and markets served.

Ensure comprehension and compliance with communication and brand standards specific to healthcare.

Collaborate with the healthcare business unit to devise marketing initiatives that enhance engagement and generate leads within the healthcare sector.

Identify opportunities by staying well-informed about evolving trends and competitive dynamics in the healthcare market.

Embrace innovation by exploring new ideas, challenging traditional methods, and pushing beyond conventional approaches.

Collaboration (10%)

Collaborate with the content team to select pertinent thought leadership topics within the healthcare industry.

Engage and interview internal subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and depth in the information being communicated.

Obtain approval from designated thought leaders on relevant content to ensure accuracy and adherence to strategic messaging.

Coordinate with the product marketing team to align thought leadership content with the overall product strategy.

Peer review the work of fellow content marketers to maintain consistency in quality, tone, and messaging across all healthcare communications.

Required Qualifications:

BS degree in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field

3-5 years of B2B writing experience

Healthcare industry knowledge and experience strongly preferred

Proficiency in English grammar, writing mechanics, and meticulous citation of sourced content

Relevant experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position

Thorough command of Google Workspace

An intimate understanding of content best practices

A strong understanding of multichannel marketing concepts

Ability to clearly communicate concepts and ideas to others 

Must have industry-specific knowledge: familiarity with agency terminology, processes, and emerging/relevant technology and social/media channels

Proven ability to understand multiple audiences and communicate to them directly, in compelling ways
