Position Summary:
As the Content Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing our content strategy to engage and educate our audience, drive brand awareness, and support lead generation.
You are a skilled writer and editor who can take critical content asset from idea to the finish line. You can work independently or alongside contractors or an agency. This role requires a high degree of execution and the willingness to roll up your sleeves and drive our business forward through excellent content marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Write, edit, and publish high-quality content across various formats, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, infographics, videos, and social media posts that highlight Onit’s solutions and industry insights.
Content Strategy: Support the Content Marketing team lead as they build and implement a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with Onit’s business goals, drives engagement, and captures leads.
Social Media Content: Write, socialize, and publish content for our corporate social channels, following a pre-planned social calendar. Establish and follow an SLA for posting fast, ad-hoc social posts for key events and company messages, publishing them directly and collaborating with other team members.
SEO Optimization: Optimize content for search engines to improve organic visibility and drive traffic to our website, utilizing best practices in SEO and keyword research.
Editorial Calendar: Manage the editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of content and coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather insights and materials.
Brand Voice and Messaging: Ensure all content adheres to Onit’s brand voice and messaging guidelines, maintaining consistency across all platforms.
Performance Measurement: Monitor and analyze the performance of content marketing initiatives, using analytics tools to track engagement metrics and make data-driven adjustments.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and customer success, to gather insights, align content with business objectives and customer needs, and distribute across appropriate marketing channels.
Thought Leadership: Own and manage our “Onit Ambassadors” program to activate internal thought leaders from across the company.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in content marketing, preferably in a B2B software or technology environment.
Proven track record of creating compelling content that drives engagement and supports lead generation.
Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot).
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms.
