About the Role

The Payouts and Accounting Manager will oversee the smooth processing of Content Partner payouts, resolve payment inquiries, and manage the title reporting and disbursement process. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams, third-party partners, and external vendors to ensure that payouts are accurate, timely, and compliant. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills to manage various operational tasks related to payouts, accounting, and reporting.

 For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $108,000 - $130,000 annually.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

Responsibilities:

Payouts

Manage Payout Process End to End: Review and update content payout reports to ensure business payment models, metadata, and territory information is accurate for 300+ partners; lead title report review ensuring correct entity assignments, adjustments and upstream issues (e.g., exceptions or title changes) are addressed Reporting Distribution: Ensure the successful and timely delivery of payout reports and payments to all partners on a regular basis Tracking and Internal Reporting of Payouts: Maintenance of databases that include but are not limited to payout amounts and distribution information Troubleshoot Wires: Work with partners and cross functional teams (ex. Accounts Payable) to address issues with wire payments that fail to deliver Partner Support & Troubleshooting: Address post-payout inquiries from partners around discrepancies or issues following payout disbursement

Internal Accounting Systems

Ongoing Report Review: Analyze and troubleshoot exceptions ensuring data aligns across multiple systems and tooling (ex. Salesforce, NetSuite, rights management tooling, proprietary Roku systems), this includes handling large sets of data (e.g., 20M+ exceptions)

Payment Onboarding

Partner Support: Assist partners with completing necessary steps for tax and banking verification  for payouts, providing guidance and troubleshooting any issues during the process. This includes handling partner inquiries, managing vendor relationships, and working through multi-week resolution processes

 

Perform other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by leadership

 

We’re excited if you have Experience: 7+ years of experience in payouts, accounting, or financial operations; prior experience with partner management,  rights management systems and troubleshooting payment systems is a plus Skills: Strong proficiency in Salesforce, Excel and AirTable, experience with financial systems, and understanding of wire transfers and ACH processes. Familiarity with tools like JIRA is preferred Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues in a timely and effective manner, especially in situations where multiple systems and partners are involved Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy, especially when handling large datasets or complex financial reports Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with both internal teams and external partners Project Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality work is delivered

Travel: Occasional travel may be required for offsite meetings or system training
