Job Description:

Photography & Videography for Educational Content

Capture high-quality photography, video B-roll, and instructional footage for online courses, training modules, and educational programs. Strategically storyboard and curate interviews, special interest videos, and event documentaries to support curriculum needs. Ensure proper lighting, framing, and composition for studio and on-location shoots. Operate various camera equipment, including DSLRs, gimbals, and microphones, to produce professional-grade content.

Post-Production & Multimedia Editing

Edit video lectures, training modules, and educational content for digital platforms. Enhance footage with motion graphics, captions, animations, and interactive elements to support learning. Optimize content for various platforms, primarily learning management systems (LMS) Ensure videos and images align with accessibility standards (e.g., captions, alt text, WCAG compliance).

Collaboration & Content Development

Work alongside instructional designers, faculty, animators, and trainers to transform course materials using multimedia content. Collaborate closely with the WCB team to identify and capture video content that servers as visual aids in the WCB educational programs. Assist in planning and scripting video content based on learning objectives and instructional best practices. Support the development of micro-learning videos, explainer animations, and interactive tutorials. Stay informed on emerging trends in educational media, e-learning technologies, and digital storytelling. Travel as needed to capture video content.

Expected Salary:

$26.34 - $31.13 an hour commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications:

A high school diploma and three years of appropriate experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred: Proven experience in video production, photography, and multimedia editing (portfolio required). Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and other relevant software. Strong understanding of visual storytelling and how multimedia supports the education and training aspects of a student’s experience. Ability to work collaboratively with instructional designers and subject matter experts to align content with learning goals. Awareness and adaptability to accommodate the needs and personalities of different stakeholders (students, faculty, staff, vendors, executives, etc.). Familiarity with LMS platforms (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, etc.). Experience with animation, motion graphics, or interactive media.

Strong communication, relationship management, and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to expectations.
