Content Strategist

McGraw Hill India has an opening for a Content Strategist - an individual that will drive the product strategy for Test Preparation by deeply understanding our customer’s needs, their platforms, and the Test Prepation market. How can you make an impact? Our new Content Strategist will be active in the market - learning market trends, customer and competitor insights - so that you can positively impact portfolio strategy, product conception and development. You will deliver the portfolio roadmap, create revenue opportunities, present business case studies, build networks for author acquisition, and work closely with other product teams to achieve timely product releases. What will you be doing? You will build and execute on the portfolio program and roadmap, foucsing on list building and growth, by portfolio optimisation and commissioning of new test preparation products. Owning the portfolio budget and accountable for profit and loss, alongside negotiating author and SME (subject matter expert), agreements in partnership with other team members. Identify, develop, and present effective business cases to support product lines and versions, innovations or enhancements, and new products. Retain and recruit authors and SME's for maximum performance, status and influence, with effective succession planning as required. Promote the portfolio to engage and excite the go-to-market teams through training presentations and workshops. Produce agreed upon portfolio roadmaps that outlines the short, mid, and long term portfolio vision and priorities, and maintain visibility throughout the business. We are looking for someone with: A bachelor’s degree with proven experience in publishing or education, or, someone with experience in product management and development across other industries. Solid market research skills and proven experience in meeting SME's, authors, students, and faculty members. Prior experience with digital, ed-tech, online learning platforms / products will be preferred. An understanding of P&L, budget management, and experience developing business plans. Willingness to travel, approximately 35-40% of the time, to meet with customers and to conduct market research. Why work with us?
