Job Description

Proto is accelerating the world's transition to an open economy with products that increase access and independence for everyone. We're building Bitkey, a simple and safe self-custody bitcoin wallet that will put customers in control, as well as hardware and software that will help decentralize bitcoin mining and enable new and innovative use cases for bitcoin mining. Within Proto, our Bitcoin Products team delivers the product and go-to-market strategy, software, firmware, and custom silicon needed to make Bitkey and our ambitious mining initiatives a reality. We are looking for a strong marketing content strategist to help us ‘start with the story’ as we craft product strategy, product launch content, product educational content, thought leadership pieces, and more. Building products that power the future of economic empowerment often means there is a gap between the products we build today and the vision we’re building. That gap is best addressed by incredible and strategic storytelling that will be the lifeblood of the business.

You will:

Drive content strategy across mining, Bitkey, and the business unit at large so the team can productize content in order to grow the business.

Be the first writer and last editor for content that is created, working closely with marketing, design, product, and leadership across the company.

Commission research and co-marketing opportunities to provide unique data and points of view that can only be published and shared by the Proto team.

Work closely with comms and events teams to adapt our content strategy to syndicated content and in-person events and speaking opportunities.

Build a media machine for the proto business so we can grow our organic audience, keep them engaged, grow awareness from our products, and monetize our own media.

Advise leadership on how content should evolve and grow.

Evolve and adapt the role to fit the needs of the company as the businesses mature and grow.
