Contingent Structural Analysis Engineer
MAU is hiring a Contingent Structural Analysis Engineer for our client in Indianapolis, IN. As a Contingent Structural Analysis Engineer, you will conduct system structural assessments throughout the product lifecycle, from new design concepts to in-service operations, and develop innovative solutions to address customer issues, ensuring mechanical integrity under static, transient, and dynamic loads. This is a contract, long-term assignment.

Shift Information
First Shift – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Required Education and Experience Associate’s degree in engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2+ years of related experience, OR Master’s degree in engineering, OR JD/PhD General Requirements Experience in building and running models for static and dynamic structural analysis Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software, including Nastran, Ansys, Dyna3D, and NX internal codes Background in experimental testing and data interpretation, particularly for vibrating structures Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge in mechanical integrity topics, such as Whole Engine Modeling, rotor dynamics, and extreme event assessments (e.g., bird strike, fan blade off) Programming skills in Matlab, Python, Fortran, Java, C, and C++, with a strong interest in automating or scripting analysis tasks Capability to plan and coordinate work with other teams, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks Essential Functions Conduct system-level structural assessments, including whole engine modeling and static/dynamic analysis Plan and interpret experimental tests, correlating simulation results with experimental data Foster collaboration across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and product support disciplines Present technical and business findings through reports and presentations to senior engineers, both internally and externally Engage in technical reviews, Product Safety Reviews, Technical Life Reviews, and Customer Reviews Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of engineering methods and processes
