**What you’ll do:**
This incumbent is responsible for managing cross-functional medium size to big size projects. Responsible for meeting the project objectives in terms of schedule, scope and budget mainly for new product development, cost-out and innovation projects e.g. moving from oil insulated switchgear to vacuum insulated switchgear. Sales impact of these projects vary between 100K Euro and 2 Mln. Euro. The incumbent leads project teams and execute a Prolaunch phase-gate process to drive customer satisfaction, continuous product and process improvement and financial performance through all project phases.
Essential Functions:
• Manages the profit and loss of the projects by being responsible and accountable for project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments.
• Executes leadership across the projects by seeking team input to promote rapid solutions to issues and provide feedback on performance indicators.
• Establishes goals and provides direction to the project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessment.
• Communicates and manages customer expectations and contractual commitments internal and to the business.
• Ensures standard project management processes are utilized and give adequate support to the project team by coordinating project reviews, preparing and publishing project metrics, reports and hands-on support to others in the project scope, whenever needed.
• Provides periodic project updates (Project Status Report) including milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g. technical, cost, schedule) to the key stakeholders (Product Line, Leadership Team, Manufacturing, Engineering etc.).
• Acts as overall project interface with internal and external customers.
**Qualifications:**
• Bachelor/University degree in Business Management or Engineering or equivalent educational background.
• At least 15 years of work experience in industrial/manufacturing business.
Experience in leading projects in a manufacturing company.
• Capability to work in an international matrix environment with different cultures, managing a team in Hengelo and remote teams in India and China.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) or equivalent recommended or interested to get certified.
• Very good communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton senior management and customers.
• Solid knowledge of project management processes (Prolaunch), methodologies and tools (Microsoft Project or other project management software).
• Competency in risk management demonstrated.
• Excellent analytical, organizational skills and business acumen.
• Very good interpersonal skills and the capability to lead a project team with proven leadership skills.
• Good English communication skills
• Travel up to +/- 10%.
