Description

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

Supports Continuous Improvement activities at the site, resulting in waste reduction, process improvements and cost savings.  Assists with building a broad and sustainable Continuous Improvement community.  Assists with the implementation and proper use of Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies.  Leads projects and programs of significant scope to drive organizational transformation.

Leadership: 
Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement community to share best practices. Support the Corporate Continuous Improvement assessment to ensure successful audits. Communicate with other departments as needed to coordinate Continuous Improvement activities and resources.Leverage communication, negotiation, and leadership skills to drive initiatives and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels Assist with the development and administering of training on Continuous Improvement to align with the business needs. Set strategic direction and drives improvements: Identify opportunities and/or implements changes to improve products or costs through knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods, production equipment, and quality standards. Lead and plan Kaizen events. Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing, quality, and support functions.Manage Continuous Improvement projects and implements sustainable solutions.Drive specific projects to deliver transformational results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.Work with the leadership team to define the area master plan to achieve long term objectives.Build the Continuous Improvement portfolio to achieve site targets and implement sustainable governance of the project portfolio including project intake, selection, and execution.Technical: 
Utilization of tools and best practices for Continuous Improvement including, but not limited to Six Sigma, Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Standard Work, 5S, Visual Management and Root Cause Problem Solving Utilize advanced statistical methodologies to analyze trends and identify action plans.Stay up to date on Continuous Improvement best practices.Quality / Compliance: Conduct all Continuous Improvement activities within the guidelines of safety and regulatory statue requirements

Education, Skills, & Experience:

Bachelor's degree with demonstrated proper utilization of CI tools and methodologies for projects and programs for a minimum of 5 years showing tangible savings or benefitsLean or Six Sigma Green Belt CertificationProficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical softwareMust be action and results oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to meet established deadlines; must be a self-starter and be able to work independently as well as being a team playerProject experienceExperience working in a manufacturing environmentEngineering / scientific / supply chain / business administration degree preferred
