Summer Continuous Improvement Internship Opportunity at ProAmpac

As a Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Intern, you will work closely with our global operations team to improve our automated visitor kiosk system, develop safety training and a training schedule, and optimize data tracking processes. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement within the manufacturing facility. Analyze production data, identify trends, and propose actionable solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Participate in continuous improvement projects to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization. Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and quality in manufacturing processes. Conduct time studies and process observations to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement. Generate reports and presentations to communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, majoring in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess processes and propose efficient solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
