Our Team:
The Thales Australia AWS business offers ship repair, maintenance and asset management / in-service support capabilities for commercial and naval ships in Australia. The business also offers the provision of docking, reticulated services and facility maintenance within Garden Island.
 

The role:
Opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join our team and play a critical role in driving the delivery of key business improvement initiatives within the Above Water Systems (AWS) Business. Based in Woolloomooloo, you'll lead projects that prioritise safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness to achieve customer and business objectives.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support AWS improvement initiatives, ensuring objectives related to cost, time, safety, and quality are met.Train and support business leads in utilising improvement tools and techniques.Manage the AWS Business Improvement Portal and ensure compliance with AWS standards.Facilitate process mapping and deliver improvement-related training sessions.Drive the development and execution of the AWS Business Improvement Strategy aligned with Thales guidelines.Benchmark and implement performance improvement opportunities across the organisation.Engage stakeholders and manage communications effectively.
 

About You:

Degree in business, engineering, project management, or equivalent experience Proven leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix organisation.Lean Six certification or similar is desirable but not essential.Knowledge of BPMN process mapping and statistical process analyses (SPC).Advanced MS Excel skills.
