BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading continuous improvement efforts and driving a culture of continuous improvement in safety, quality, capacity, lead time, and inventory..  This individual, collaborating with others, will drive continuous improvements throughout plant and warehouse operations.  This position reports into the Plant Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitate the development of a future state vision for the site and continuously execute a transformation plan to achieve future state goalsImplement and maintain disciplined world class management systems that include robust visual controls, leader standard work, and daily accountability meetings at SQDIP boardsIdentify meaningful KPIVs and KPOVs throughout the plant to best allow leadership to monitor and support all processesUse and teach sophisticated problem-solving techniques to address process variability, quality issues, material flow breakdowns, etc.Analyzes current performance metrics and suggest enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Leads and manages multiple improvement projects from initiation to completion. Develop project plans, set timelines, and ensure timely delivery of results.Collect and analyze data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement. Use statistical tools and techniques to support decision-making.Tracks, measure, and reports progress on improvement activities related to business plan, goals, and issues.Works closely with cross-functional teams including safety, production, quality, supply chain, maintenance, and engineering to implement improvement initiatives. Foster collaboration and effective communication among team members.Collaborates with safety to quantify hazards throughout the plant and facilitate hazard reducing improvementsOther responsibilities maybe assigned as needed for the support of the plant.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar are preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proven track record of leading successful improvement projects.Proficient in the use of continuous improvement tools and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Red-X, etc). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with statistical software and data analysis tools.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong project management abilities.Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
