Continuous Improvement Manager

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

The Continuous Improvement Manager coordinates all lean transformation activities at the site, champions change, and is a resource for lean improvement techniques following SIG’s Excellence System (SES).

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an at-will employer, SIG (formerly Scholle IPN) reserves the right to add to or modify this list to the extent it deems necessary.

Build up CI/ SES culture by coaching & train function managers and production employees. Execution of SQDCP improvement projects, as per set plan. Lead process improvement projects as direct resource with CI (Lean, TPM, 6-Sigma tools). Train and coach functional managers and CI Pillar and Foundation leaders on supporting CI Projects and Methodology. Support the process of “Best Practice Sharing” management, coordinate horizontal expansion, and take full advantage of group strength. Perform process audits, support 5S/Visual Management/Standardize work/TPM activities in the plant / on the shopfloor. Support/conduct training on CI (TPM, Lean & 6-Sigma) tools.

 

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

 

Completed studies in mechanical/industrial engineering - preferred. Further education courses in Continuous Improvement methodologies and Tools: Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), World Class Manufacturing (WCM), or Operational Excellence (OpEx). Alternatively, you should be eager to learn about these methodologies. Knowledge of optimization of production processes and shop floor management. Knowledge of project management and facilitation of workshops. Excellent communication skills- verbal and writing

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Frequently standing, walking and sitting. Frequently required the use of hands to finger, feel, reach or handle machinery. Frequently bend, stoop and reach. Visual Acuity (VA).
