The Continuous Improvement Manager is a pivotal strategic leader, driving ground-breaking change to enhance company performance. This role is based in our World Headquarters in Elyria, OH, conveniently located within driving distance to Cleveland. The area’s generally low costs of living, excellent school systems, and low crime rates help build a family-friendly environment. The area is home to several growing communities with restaurants, festivals, shopping, and arts scenes. t Since the invention of the modern pipe wrench in 1923, the 25-acre RIDGID site has been developing tools that help trade professionals tackle jobs faster, safer, and more accurately. Today, more than 600 employees work in 734K sq. ft. office and manufacturing space. The campus is also home to a factory tool service center and an innovative “schoolhouse” training center that educates and trains hundreds of tradespersons annually. In addition to the iconic wrench, the campus manufactures RIDGID battery hydraulic tools, pipe, and electrical tools, and drain cleaning components, as well as Greenlee step bits and knock-out tools. Emerson’s Professional Tools business provides the industry’s broadest portfolio of sophisticated, reliable tools and technologies for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades. **In this Role, your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Analyzes company processes and procedures. + Develop process enhancement strategies. + Investigates shortfalls, issues and complaints in current business processes. + Lead activities such as data discovery, process mapping and improvement, root cause analysis etc. + Develops manufacturing processes and procedures to reduce problems and cost. + Develops and presents manufacturing process training. + Facilitates Kaizen events and rapid action projects to address operational challenges and optimize production processes. + Champions collaboration and coaches cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, and supply chain to drive process improvements, enhance team capabilities, align objectives, and achieve successful project outcomes. + Ensure that improvements are sustained through the development of standard work, documentation, and employee training. + Monitor the effectiveness of process changes over time and adjust to maintain long-term success. + Work with leadership to ensure continuous improvement efforts align with the company’s strategic goals and objectives. + Carry out research and analysis to help define standard process, and use this to assist departments to review current practices and develop new better options. + Develop and implement frameworks, materials and approaches to support the improvement and transformation programs. + Provide key stakeholders with monitoring reports, analysis and advice. **Who You Are** : You find and champion the best creative ideas and actively move them into implementation. You provide high-quality advice, empower teams to accept change, and influence them to adopt and apply diverse improvement methods that drive impactful results. **For this Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor’s degree. + A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial facility with a focus on continuous improvement. + Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%. + Willingness and ability to work on 2 nd / 3 rd shift, some weekends. + Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma. + Have a hands-on approach and ability to drive engagement. + Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights. + Strong proven organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. + Experience in leading and facilitating Kaizen events and improvement projects. + Ability to present complex concepts in clear concise messages tailored to all levels of the organization. + Previous experience/broad understanding of safety and enforcement of safety rules and policies. + Excellent communication and presentation skills. + Excellent Skills in the Microsoft Office Packages (Excel & Power Point). + Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available for this position). **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** + MS OR MBA. + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field of study. + Manufacturing experience. + Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or higher). + Project management experience + Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, including automation techniques. \#LI-CB3 **Our Offer to You:** We recognize for our organization to support a diverse workforce, we must focus on employee wellbeing.
