Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Each day, you will mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. You will also showcase your expertise by deploying and leading projects to improve and sustain local business performance.The work model for the role is: Onsite in Florence, SC Relocation assistance is available.You will be mainly accountable for:• Supports local deployment of continuous improvement strategy and objectives: Ensures alignment with broader organizational goals and drives local initiatives to enhance factory automation and upgrades.• Escalates issues to stakeholders: Removes roadblocks and resolves conflicting priorities by collaborating with cross-functional teams, crucial for the successful implementation of automation projects.• Aligns local strategy with global objectives: Ensures the continuous improvement approach at the local level is consistent with the global strategy, particularly in the context of automation and technological upgrades.• Facilitates significant improvements: Targets enhancements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments, with a focus on leveraging new technologies.• Promotes awareness and commitment: Engages local management in continuous improvement efforts and fosters a culture of ongoing enhancement, emphasizing the benefits of automation and upgrades.• Implements improvement programs: Uses a hands-on, problem-solving approach to drive and support improvement projects within their area of responsibility, particularly those related to automation.• Tracks progress through KPIs: Monitors initiatives to demonstrate progress and value, aiding decision-makers in resource allocation and success recognition, especially in automation and upgrade projects.• Ensures compliance with ABB’s standards: Adheres to the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, policies, and processes, maintaining integrity and ethical behavior, while integrating new technologies and processes.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial engineering, or a related field or 5+ years of experience. Willingness to travel occasionally as per business needs, 10% to 20% maximum. Experience in, and solid understanding of 3D modeling. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and change management skills. Project management experience. Hands on approach collaborative solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple demands on your time. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
