The Continuous Improvement Specialist (CI Specialist) is responsible for the deployment of CI tools and principles across the Savannah site to effectively drive improvement in performance and quality and reduce cost to manufacture. Support Overall Equipment Effectiveness improvement through effective data collection, analysis and change implementation in collaboration with maintenance, production and leadership. Support team understanding and implementation of lean methodologies aligned to the business strategy. Through a hands-on approach, and aspiration for excellence, the CI Specialist must lead by example, demonstrating passion and commitment to Lean practices, and building collaborative ways of working while relying on our continuous attachment to JM values.
Your Responsibilities:
Facilitate and support JMPS Improvement activities and projects, through training and coaching.Provide SME coverage in Lean tools and techniques.Focus on executing CI projects to maximize the Financial Impact of Continuous Improvement (FICI).Deploy CI tools as needed to secure a stable operation able to deliver predictable results (Operation Under Control).Tracking the JMPS assimilation through a maturity assessment system, showing the benefit by improving the overall workplace conditions and creating value for the business.Support the CI Belt certification program adding Lean practitioners within the day-to-day regular job.Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of all CI training activities and implement relevant improvements.Support development of documentation and procedures.Capture and communicate best practice across the site.Perform other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed and agreed.Requirements for the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, Engineering, or similar fieldsExperience in Lean/Operational Excellence.Recognized Coaching qualification.Qualified Train the Trainer.Experience in driving and supporting Lean/Operational Excellence in a manufacturing environment.Extensive practical experience in the application of Lean tools and techniques.Delivery of “learning by doing” lean tools training across multiple functions.Proven ability to plan, organize and manage multiple improvement projects.Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt communication styles for all levels through the organization.How you will be rewarded:
