Are you ready to join our dynamic team as a Contract, Workforce Planner? As a key member of our Workforce Analytics & Strategic Planning team in Human Resources (HR), you will have the opportunity to work with Senior Leaders and members of the client's Leadership team. This is a one-year contract position located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Role Overview

Support Workforce Planning Processes: Coordinate the compilation, analysis, and reporting of workforce planning outputs. Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), Corporate Planning, Finance, and other business functions. Continuous Improvement: Identify and act on opportunities to improve workforce planning processes. Audit Management: Perform audits to ensure accurate and timely management of positions and vacancy data. Data Management: Coordinate the ongoing management of approved headcount/positions and provide data summaries and visualizations. Streamline Processes: Develop creative ways to streamline, improve, and automate workforce planning processes. Database Management: Influence and manage changes in the Workforce Planning database and associated Workforce Planning Input Tool. Stay Informed: Stay connected to external trends and innovations in workforce planning. Collaborative Relationships: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders at various levels across the organization. Training and Support: Provide training and support to end users for workforce planning processes.

Skills & Qualifications

Workforce Planning Experience: Previous experience in workforce planning, strategy planning, resource management, or talent forecasting. Data Analysis Skills: Experience with Power BI and databases for data analysis. Advanced Excel Knowledge: Minimum intermediate knowledge of Excel. Familiarity with Workday: Previous experience with Workday preferred. Financial Budgeting Experience: Familiarity with financial budgeting processes and financial reporting. Effective Communication: Ability to convey ideas and data clearly and effectively in written and verbal communications across all levels of the organization. Strategic Thinking: Ability to transition between tactical and strategic thinking and comfortable working with ambiguity and complexity. Problem-Solving Skills: Self-motivated, creative problem solver with the ability to arrive at solutions independently. Passion for Learning: Demonstrated passion for learning and challenging the status quo. Consultation Skills: Strong consultation skills and customer service mindset. Partnership Mentality: Strong partnering mentality as HR works closely with other functions. Attention to Detail: Natural tendency to validate data results and investigate anomalies independently. Confidentiality: Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Research Skills: Research and data analysis skills with the ability to draw insights and make effective business recommendations.

Education & Experience

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in workforce planning, strategy planning, resource management, or talent forecasting. Power BI Experience: Previous experience with Power BI preferred. Database Experience: Previous experience with databases preferred. Excel Knowledge: Minimum intermediate knowledge of Excel required. Workday Experience: Familiarity with Workday preferred. Financial Budgeting Experience: Familiarity with financial budgeting processes and financial reporting preferred.
