**POSITION DETAILS**
The City University of New York (CUNY) – Central Office seeks an experienced Contract Analyst for the Office of the Chief Procurement & Supplier Diversity Officer. CUNY is the nation’s leading urban public university serving more than 500,000 degree-seeking students. The University comprises of 26 institutions: 11 senior colleges, seven community colleges, CUNY School of Medicine, William E. Macaulay Honors College at CUNY, CUNY Graduate Center, Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies, CUNY School of Law, CUNY School of Professional Studies and CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy.
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing of Procurement, the Contract Analyst is responsible for all assigned aspects of the procurement process within CUNY’s Central Office and Colleges Shared Services.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Assists in preparing specifications for bidding and develops lists of bidders for use with Request for Quotes (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Invitation for Bids (IFB).
• Interacts with end users and provides guidance on various types of procurement methods and processes associated with them.
• Places advertisements with City Record and New York State Contract Reporter which includes forwarding bid documents to prospective bidders and assists in evaluating bid responses.
• Prepares award and renewal letters, and related documents for contracts.
• Produces contracts and purchase orders via CUNY’s e-procurement and ERP systems.
• Prepares procurement records for procurement files.
• Prepares spreadsheets to record progress for requisitions.
• Conducts spend analysis by categories, vendors, and colleges; shares ideas, plans and initiatives for spend optimization.
• Assists Director of Strategic Sourcing with various projects as needed.
• Performs any other procurement related activities to support Procurement department daily operations.
Note – Until further notice, this position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting discipline preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures, New York State Government Contracts and reporting principles
• Detail oriented, strong written, evaluation, and research skills.
• Strong writing, verbal, interpersonal communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in various organizational levels.
• Work productively as an individual contributor and collaboratively as a team member in a time-sensitive and customer-service oriented office.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to establish plans, manage a large and varied workload of assignments with conflicting priorities, follow up and complete work by set deadlines.
• Proficiency using computers and standard office, financial and relational database applications and systems, especially MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, PeopleSoft, and financial systems.

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**
Salary range is **$54,268 - $62,689,** and commensurate with education, skills and experience.
