The Contracts and Business Development Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the daily interface between Beckman Coulter and assigned customers, responsible for building and maintaining relationships and for effective contract management for designated customers. You will be interacting with Pathology personnel at all levels presenting complex data in a simple way, engaging with third party suppliers to optimise supply chain, building open and honest partnerships at local levels and facilitating/ driving issue resolution to manage performance. Supporting Beckman Coulter managed services from pre to post tender and through to contract end.
The successful person will also have responsibility for the third party delivery once a contract has been put in place, monitoring third party supplier performance against an agreed set of measures and then holding the supplier to those measures. They will also be required to manage change control throughout the life cycle of a managed service contract, execute exit strategies where appropriate and ensure that BCUK meets its retention targets.
This position is part of the Commercial Department and will be remote with the requirement to visit customer sites in the North of the UK and attend business meetings where required in the Amersham UK office. You will be a part of the Managed Service Team and report to the Commercial Services Manager responsible for successful delivery of the Managed Service Offering provided to selected customers in the north of the UK, exceeding customer expectations with operational and financial performance. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Undertake all aspects of contract evaluation and governance
• Monitor sub-contractor contract compliance to detailed Key Performance Indicators and take appropriate actions as agreed with line management and key stakeholders.
• Draft standard contract documents such as non-disclosure agreements, change control documents, Framework schedules, etc. as and when required
• To support the Business Manager in large Pan Pathology Managed Services with tender bids that include third party products and services.
• Manage performance and financial statistics for both Beckman Coulter and subcontractors and investigate all opportunities to control and drive down costs, whilst pursing continual improvements in performance.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Strong knowledge and experience of managed services in a highly regulated industry with managed service account management experience and experience delivering and monitoring contract performance / compliance
• Excellent customer service, business management techniques and negotiation skills with negotiation principles experience
• Outstanding planning and organisational skills with evidence of creation and execution of successful strategic plans – including tender execution with understanding of procurement and supplier management in a commercial setting.
• Degree/Higher Education Qualifications or strong experience within a relationship and contract management.
• Must hold Full Driving License.
