Contract Cost Analyst

One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, has tasked us with finding a Contract Cost Analyst to join their team in Lloydminster for a 12-month contract, working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Planning and Scheduling: Developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely and on-budget completion. Cost Management: Monitoring and controlling project costs in alignment with budget constraints. Cost Analysis: Analyzing cost data to identify trends, variances, and potential cost-saving opportunities. Cost Reconciliation: Reconciling project costs with budgeted amounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. SAP MOC Management: Utilizing SAP MOC to document and approve changes in project scope. Reporting: Preparing and presenting detailed cost reports to management, highlighting insights and recommendations. Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders for accurate cost tracking and reporting.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). 5-7 years of experience in cost management, cost analysis, and cost reconciliation. Proven experience in project close-out and contractor Quality Assurance verification. Proficiency in SAP, particularly SAP MOC. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in the oil and gas industry.
