In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Reviews, drafts and negotiates agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, with minimal direction by more senior Contract Services staff, including in: Responding, within established guidelines, to customers’ RFP/RFQs, vendor qualification documents and contractual requests.   Drafting and negotiating with customers, appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties.  Takes the Contracts Lead on Less complex international and multi-BU project contracts, and Less complex frame agreements (single WA). Takes the Lead (including the GSAP accounts) on more complex projects and frame agreements as experience develops.  Collaborate with customers, members of the legal team and other Emerson collaborators to bring deals to closure.  Analyses business, financial, and legal risks.  Research information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports.  Provides contract-related mentorship to Sales, Project Management and other partners.  Participates in the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and secure appropriate approvals.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Confirmed work experience in a contracts-related role  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field  Completion of Worlds Contract and Commercial Management (CCM) Training Program to 

Preferred qualifications:

Practitioner Level strongly preferred Commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages/penalties, payment & freight terms, documentary credits and bank guarantees/sureties  Intermediate MS Office skills  Excellent oral and written English language skills, French and/or Arabic is an advantage  Expert negotiation skills  Extensive knowledge of Contract law & principles
