Contract Financial Analyst

Find your purpose as the Contract Financial Analyst with CentraCare.  The Contract/Financial Analyst is responsible for the evaluation, analysis, and preparation of recommendations regarding third-party payer contracts and internal control systems. The role requires strong analytical skills to determine financial impact, ensure compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement. The Analyst will provide key reporting and data insights to support organizational decision-making through tools like the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Power BI. This role also collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and optimize payer contracts. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and possess strong problem-solving skills to address complex financial challenges.

Schedule:

Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks Monday-Friday 8a-5p Remote position 

Pay & Benefits:

Starting pay begins at $62,192.52 per year and increases with experience Salary range:  $62,192.52 - $93,310.15 per year Salary range is based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate Full-time benefits: Medical, dental, PTO, retirement, employee discounts and more!

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience in the finance/reimbursement field would be considered in lieu of education. 2+ years in finance, contracting, or a related analytical role.  Healthcare and third-party payer experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Experience with enterprise systems such as Epic, Strata, or similar. Strong communication skills to present findings to various stakeholders. Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes. Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages preferred. Project management experience preferred. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis desired. Knowledge of government reimbursement methodologies and regulatory compliance preferred.

Core Functions:

Review and evaluate existing and new third-party payer contracts to determine financial impact and compliance. Develop and maintain internal systems to monitor payer data and produce timely, accurate reports for management. Analyze and validate contract terms to ensure accurate payment compliance and communicate discrepancies to management. Prepare financial reports on services, programs, ventures, and systems to support strategic decision-making. Provide reporting support by extracting data from enterprise systems such as Strata, Epic, and other relevant platforms. Collaborate with claims analysts and payers to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. Support managers in understanding and utilizing reimbursement reports. Build and maintain dashboards and reports to improve visibility into financial metrics using tools from the Microsoft Office Suite. Conduct variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to assist in financial planning. Assist in the implementation and training of new internal control systems and reporting tools. Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements. Stay informed about changes in payer policies, government reimbursement programs, and regulatory requirements.
