Primary Purpose
Goodyear is seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager with a strong focus on continuous improvement processes. This position’s primary purpose is to oversee contract review, drafting and negotiation of Goodyear’s many commercial contracts across the North America business. This is a newly created position within the Contracts Center of Excellence Team. Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting Goodyear’s growth and maintaining our commitment to excellence with your strong negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of legal and contractual language, and the ability to manage relationships with both internal teams and external customers
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Contract Manager would support would be mostly medium complexity contracts, and some standard high complexity contracts. Supporting the Senior Contract Manager on some nonstandard high complexity contracts if there is a surplus and for development opportunities Draft, revise, process Sales agreements (from request to execution) Review, draft and negotiate Master Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Order Forms, and other required legal documents of high complexity Collaborate with the legal team, security, procurement, sales, and other internal stakeholders to update templates, establish risk assessment best practices, and develop internal resources for negotiations and policies. Assist Sales personnel as necessary in the development and use of requests for information, requests for proposals and similar documents Implementing and improving procurement processes for review, modification, approval and retention of contracts and other legal documents. Leading projects and coaching other contract professional
Required Education and Experience
Required: BS or BA Degree (in lieu of Degree, 10+ years of experience in the field) A minimum of 5 years experience in contract analysis in a related industry (preferably contract administration and management, preferably in a global business environment and successfully leading and supporting projects of varying levels of complexity) Experience working with document/ contract management tools, software, and databases, including contract authoring, markups and maintaining version control of documents.
