Contract Manager
Overview Quality Custom Distribution, a division of Golden State Foods is seeking a Contract Manager to lead the management of contracts from initiation through negotiation, execution, and compliance. This position requires a detail-oriented, analytical individual with strong organizational and communication skills to manage contractual relationships, minimize risk, and ensure compliance with all legal and company guidelines. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Contract Drafting & Negotiation: + Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring that terms align with company policies, objectives, and applicable laws. + Collaborate with internal stakeholders (legal, finance, sales, procurement) to finalize contract terms and resolve any conflicts. + Contract Administration: + + Oversee the administration of contracts from initiation to execution, ensuring timely and accurate contract completion. + Ensure that all contracts are properly recorded, tracked, and stored for easy retrieval. + Compliance & Risk Management: + Monitor contract compliance and performance to ensure that all parties meet their obligations and timelines. + Identify and mitigate potential risks in contractual terms and conditions. + Ensure all contracts comply with regulatory, legal, and company standards. + Team Leadership & Collaboration: + Collaborate with GSF legal counsel to ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards, providing legal insights during contract negotiations and dispute resolution. + Develop standard operating procedures for all processes; provide training and guidance to team members regarding contract management processes, policies, and best practices. + Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment of contract terms with company strategy. + Contract Analysis & Reporting: + Analyze contract performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and report on key metrics. + Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on contract-related issues and trends. + Dispute Resolution: + Handle contract disputes and negotiations, working to resolve issues amicably and in compliance with contractual terms. + Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding contract-related queries and issues. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. + Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience and proven success in contract management, legal, procurement, or related fields. + Strong understanding of contract law, compliance, and risk management. + Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. + Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite. + Ability to partner with leaders across various functions and and motivate others effectively. Preferred Qualifications: + Certification in Contract Management (e.g., Certified Professional Contracts Manager - CPCM). + Experience in a specific industry (supply chain, distribution and logistics).
