The mission of Contract Management is to manage contract activities for a large scale of outsourcing deals globally. The Contract Management Specialist will work with the internal organization and with the Client/Supplier to ensure the overall contract and contract amendments are set-up and managed appropriately.This position will work on the development, management and administration of contracts mainly with Clients (some activities around Suppliers are also foreseen) for the company. Coordinate draft of Client contracts and answer to requested contract terms. Monitor fulfillment of contractual obligations and changes/amendments to the contract. Provide guidance on contract interpretations of contractual obligations. Apply subject matter knowledge on contract aspects to business issues. Management of contractual risks associated to new deals and mitigation strategies in line with company’s best practicesExercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Will report to the Group Head of Contract Management and will contribute to further develop Contract Management activities in Transcom. 

Functional Responsibilities:

Client Focus

Draft of contracts, preparation of answer to Clients’ requested contract terms and ability to provide contractual language to communications, letters, contractual changes, etc.Identify business and contractual risks associated to new RFPs, contracts or any documents from Clients and/or suppliers, and propose alternatives to mitigate them.Participate as a negotiation team member during contract negotiations as required. Responsible for the framework and process methodologies for contract adjustments, including edits, administrative, changes, new services or new volumes. Strong skills in building and maintaining networks and relationships internally to ensure client business is supported and successfully delivered. Qualify finalized service, scope, requirements and priorities, taking into account all associated risks and risk mitigation strategies. 

Operational Excellence 

Provide counsel to the team members regarding contractual obligations and corrective measures. Provides subcontractor management support and set-up of back-to-back agreements. Drives contract changes and amendments. 

Culture & Leadership 

Acts as Interface with IT, Legal, Finance, HR etc., in the preparation of contract terms and negotiation of the contract. Leads the negotiation of contract terms as required and in alignment with the Sales Team.Disseminates information regarding contract policies internally and fosters use and adherence to company’s policies related to the set-up of contracts with Clients and Suppliers. 

What we are looking for:

To be successful in this role you must…

Good knowledge of entire tender process and contract negotiation.Good knowledge of business law, data privacy laws, as well as the US laws and regulations. Good understanding and drafting skills of contract clauses and conditions in English. Negotiation capabilities in English language. Excellent communication skills. Strong problem solving skills in high pressure environment. Have very strong ability to adapt to changes and new challenges. This position requires a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience doing contract or commercial management activities; Contract management experience is mandatory. Ability to work with different cultural environments (experience in international business) and to adapt to work with different time zones worldwide. Working experience in multi-country contracts is preferable. Ability to work with short timeframes.Equivalent of Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably Business Management / Business Administration or Law Degree. Membership in the World Commerce & Contracting Association (WorldCC) is preferable.Enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable, looking for new challenges.No frequent travelling is foreseen but availability to travel may be required from time to time. BPO industry experience and previous experience in CRM business environment is an advantage.Ability to work with CLM systems.
