Contract Officer (IDCIFM)

Secure Journeys has been selected to operate Australia’s Onshore Immigration Detention Network on behalf of the Australian Government.

 

Spotless, as a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, will be responsible for facilities maintenance and asset management of detention facilities and for providing catering and garrison services to detainees.

 

With the new contract commencing in early 2025, we currently have a full time role available for a Contract Officer to join the Spotless team.

 

The purpose of this function is to ensure the Department is provided with all the information required to make informed decisions and develop long term strategic plans for its Assets to ensure their use aligns to the needs of the Department.

What you’ll bring

Due to the nature of the work, you must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this opportunity and willing to be sponsored for government security and employment clearances.Relevant tertiary qualification or industry supported Certificate.Excellent administration skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Package including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to follow set procedures in a fast-paced multiple transaction environment.Ability to work well independently and as a team.Coordinating office and administrative functions for a large team and fast paced environment.Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with proven ability to plan and prioritise own work.

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

Manage the inventory and allocation of office stationery and supplies and control costs within budget.Distribution of IT equipment to staff and maintain Registers.Undertake filing and general administrative / housekeeping duties as required.Organising Monthly Meetings for the Contract & Management (internal and external)Maintain and Update Contract Database as well as support other users with problems/queries.Create Purchase Orders when required.General administration tasks as directed.Assist in Compiling and preparing the Client Reporting deliverables. Daily, Weekly & Monthly reporting to the Contract Manager and Management team as advised.
