Contract Performance Development Lead
What does the role entail?1. Operational MI Strategy Development:• Lead the development and implementation of an operational Management Information (MI) strategy.• Implement and lead the Operational MI working group that understands, prioritises and implements MI solutions that drive operational performance• Ensure governance is in place to deliver a consistent and robust service across the operation with effective documentation and user guidance• Manage the delivery of MI from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.• Monitor user satisfaction and give assurance that MI solutions are being used effectively to improve performance2. Internal Change Representation:• Represent the contract performance team on various working groups with to ensure alignment to or effective transition from current practices.• Provide insights and feedback to ensure contract performance considerations are integrated into project plans.• Monitor the progress of change projects and their impact on behalf of contract performance, particularly once embedded.3. Continuous Improvement:• Identify, share, and implement best practices internally and externally, related to MI and processes that can drive operational improvement.• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the performance team.• Conduct regular reviews of processes and procedures to ensure they are efficient and effective, gaining stakeholder feedback where appropriate.• Build the knowledge level and ability within operational leaders in respect to utilisation of MI available, mentoring and developing where needed to support them in driving operational performance.• Develop training programs and hold coaching sessions to disseminate best practices and enhance team capabilities with regards to MI use and interpretation.4. Client Change Requests:• Lead the response to formal DWP change requests from a contractual performance perspective.• Ensure that all responses are thorough, timely, and aligned with contractual obligations.• Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and develop comprehensive responses.• Track and report on the status of change requests and their impact on contract performance.• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment with internal and external stakeholders.• Identify and assess risks related to contract performance, proposing risk mitigation strategies where needed.• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and contractual obligations.5. Stakeholder Engagement:• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.• Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders as required.• Act as a point of contact for stakeholder inquiries and concerns.



What will you bring to the role?Qualifications and/or Experience• Experience in a similar role, particularly in operational MI strategy development and implementation.• Ability to develop and implement strategies, particularly in Management Information (MI).• Experience in managing projects, including change management and continuous improvement initiatives.• Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.• Ability to lead teams, working groups, and training sessions.• Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to contract performance.• Knowledge of governance practices to ensure consistent and robust service delivery.• Demonstrated experience in strategy development and implementation.• Experience in coordinating work across multiple internal departments Individual competencies• Ability to comprehend complex business challenges and identify potential change initiatives. • Highly developed collaboration skills to work across teams internally and externally to deliver solutions. • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing best practices and continuous improvement.• Ability to influence others to adjust behaviours and act on change initiatives. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when interacting with team colleagues and internal/external stakeholders.• Meticulous attention to detail, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.• Practical and pragmatic with ability to cut through challenges to deliver value for colleagues and the organisation. • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and improve processes.• Commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
