Contract Specialist

Summary: Goldbelt Glacier Health Services is looking for Contract Specialists to support the Business Support Services (BSS) under the US Fish & Wildlife Service. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Conduct acquisition planning and market research, as required. Prepare solicitation, pre- and post-award documentation, including modifications, for execution by the CO. Complete internal & external distribution of contract documents as necessary. Negotiate, or assist technical personnel in negotiating sole source procurement requirements. Reasonable with pricing. Obtain and use certified, or other than certified cost and pricing data. Maintain electronic contract file and perform other contract administration duties as required to manage contracts professionally. Contract completion documents, and final acceptance documentation required for contract closeout. Other duties as assigned in support of all facets of contract actions. Mandatory training as required; Contract Specialist personnel are required to pass all required training. May be required to attend site visits at various locations. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Ability to independently prepare for solicitation, award, administer and closeout a variety of procurement actions for supplies and services. The position requires broad & comprehensive knowledge of Federal acquisition statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures, including the types and kinds of contracts utilized, variety of contract methods, business industry practices, and knowledge of sources of supply. Excellent communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously. Strong organizational and time management skills. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field or equivalent relevant years of experience. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related role. Ability to travel. Possess the ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation. Must be a US citizen. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in contract management (e.g., Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM)) is a plus. The salary range for this req is $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.
