Responsibilities You will analyze and evaluate major contractual/procurement aspects of substantive mission-oriented programs. You will utilize mastery knowledge of procurement statutes and regulations and/or contracting methods, policies, procedures, and contract types to plan and carry out long-term pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions. You will perform pre-award functions (e.g., determine the type of contract, method of solicitation, proposal evaluation criteria, date of award, resources from the command) for administration of contracts You will conduct procurement or contract negotiations or procurement/contract discussions that result in mutually acceptable outcomes (e.g., contract modifications, supplementary agreements, and settlements from change orders). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, coordinating, negotiating and assuring completion of approvals for long term pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions. OR A current career or career-conditional employee of the Department of Defense who occupied an 1102 or contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT) in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000. OR A current active duty military member of the armed forces (other than Coast Guard) who occupied a contracting position or similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent) 1102 on or before September 30, 2000.A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Relocation incentives as described in 5 USC 5743 may be authorized in accordance with applicable regulations. PCS is not authorized.
