By prioritizing employee growth and development, we empower everyone to reach their full potential on their own terms, because the best work happens when you are free to be yourself and share your unique expertise. **Bombardier’s Benefits Program** With our employees’ well-being top of mind, we offer a comprehensive and competitive Benefits Program, which includes the following: + Insurance plans ( _Dental, medical, life insurance, disability, and more)_ + Competitive base salary + Retirement savings plan + Employee Assistance Program + Tele Health Program **What are your contributions to the team?** + Develop the overall Defense Supply Chain solution architecture and strategy to support the productivity requirements; + Develop tools that help streamline data analysis and reporting for the Supply Chain user community; + Participate in the development of the process and system changes necessary to enhance Defense Supply Chain performance; + Execute and drive supply chain strategy and global best practices; + Develop and implement market leading strategies, tactics, and infrastructures to meet and exceed the groups goals and objectives; + Establish Defense procurement policies and procedures to guide supply chain management towards long-term business objectives + Lead and guide supply chain personnel on business impact and supply market complexity, develop appropriate strategies to ensure applicability, successful implementation and optimization of supply chain systems and successful completion of mission critical projects; + Create new commodity category specific to defense sourcing + Coach procurement personnel on supply chain initiatives to support strategic planning, approve recommendations on the optimal sourcing strategies and ensure high-level buy-in from key stakeholders; + Oversee the implementation of process and system changes, and be responsible for the transition from the old to the new; + Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors; + Will have responsibilities for evaluating proposal submissions, identifying risk and mitigation strategies, developing negotiation plans and negotiating, and preparing subcontract files in compliance with Bombardier principles and operating practices. + Perform role of coach with Supply Chain Managers; provide input and guidance into the staffing process, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for teams; + Participate, with other Supply chain directors and managers, to establish strategic plans and objectives; + Develop and present senior leadership level briefings and use databases to efficiently gather data and analyze reports. Have demonstrated the ability to lead complex efforts under limited direction while achieving impactful results. **How to thrive in this role?** + 10+ years of procurement experience in the defense sector + Experience with demonstrated leadership and people management skills and with the ability to model and promote a strong sense of engagement, teamwork, and cooperation + Solid understanding of procurement principles, policies, procedures, and regulations + Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, able to multi-task, make decisions in a timely manner and display strong interpersonal skills + Ability to communicate with multiple levels internal to the organization and externally to suppliers + Capable of applying highly analytical approaches to problem solving + Ability to maintain an organized workload and preserve attention to detail + Excellent business acumen, problem solving, communication and organizational skills + Must be a US citizen and capable to obtain a secret clearance if needed + Master’s Degree with a minimum of 6+ years of experience working in supply chain management including purchasing and procurement in the defense sector + Advanced Degree and / or Professional Certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CFCM, CPCM) + Aerospace and defense experience + Fully proficient in FARS/DFARS + Understanding of the technical, manufacturing, or supply chain requirements for platforms or systems being delivered to US Government and International customers including FARS/DFARS, small and disadvantaged businesses, etc Please note: You don’t need all the skills, knowledge, and experience listed for this position!
